Once I found McCall's Dam Road at
R.B. Winter State Park. I was on my way to McCall's Dam State Park. A mile into this trip, the road changes from paved to gravel. I knew if I had gotten to the town of Eastville I would have gone too far. I was looking for the sing saying that was I near the park, when I crossed a bridge and realized that I had just passed the park. McCall's dam is one of the old picnic area's the State had placed under the State Park's umbrella. I pulled into the parking area at around 5:39 PM on July 18,2003 and went to the info kiosk and took a picture. I saw that the real sign was missing. I then walked a few feet to the
road sign. to the left is an organized tenting section. Not wanting to get struck by lightning or get wetter than I already was, I got back in my car and drove back to R.B. Winter, preparing to go on to my next park.
