The second park of the day was Bald Eagle. This was the last park of the day I was able to get to before the rain started. I got there at around 3:10 PM on July 18, 2003. This is a pretty big park with a pretty big lake. I pulled into a parking lot and parked beside an RV. Since I had been on the road for a good 2 hours I decided to stretch my legs a bit and I walked around the beach area. That last only a few minutes when the lifeguard announced that swimming was closed due to increasing cloud cover and thunder. I took two pictures of the lake. This, the second
picture shows how dark the sky is with the approaching storm. While on the beach I saw a motor boat towing a few water skiers. I then walked back to the car, opened a can of soda and got ready to head to the next
park.
